AllBop Cookies, Local Storage, and Ads
Explains where AllBop shows ads, how ad providers obtain consent, and what data we store on your device.
Version 2026-11-03 | Effective date 2026-11-03 | Service provider: AllBop Development Team | Website: https://allbop.com | Contact: custom@allbop.com
1. Where ads appear
This English translation is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Traditional Chinese version, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
- Ads appear only on Player screens in free plan events, fixed at the bottom of the screen, and only while certain games are in progress.
- Ads do not appear on Host screens or big screens, on the settings, payment, or account deletion screens, or in paid plan events.
- Host test rooms: the App only uses test ads provided by Google; the website only displays a local placeholder labeled as an ad and does not request ads from Google.
2. Ad providers
| Environment | Provider | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Android/iOS App | Google AdMob (Google LLC) | Consent obtained through Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) |
| Website | Google AdSense (Google LLC) | Consent obtained through Google Privacy & messaging (a Google-certified consent management platform supporting IAB TCF) |
Third-party vendors such as Google use cookies or advertising identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google may also process IP addresses, approximate location, device information, and ad interaction records to measure performance and prevent fraud. For how Google uses this data, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com).
3. Consent and withdrawal
- The App and website first use Google’s consent management screen to determine whether consent is required in your region (for example, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland). Where consent is required, ads are not requested until valid consent is obtained.
- In regions where the above consent is not required, the Android App and website request only non-personalized ads.
- On iOS, you are asked whether to allow tracking under App Tracking Transparency (ATT) only after the above consent process is complete. Personalized ads may be shown only if you allow tracking. If you refuse, the App does not obtain the advertising identifier and shows only non-personalized ads.
- Refusing or withdrawing consent does not affect game features.
- In regions where consent is required, you can open “Ad privacy options” in the Player screen menu at any time to change your consent settings.
4. Cookies and local storage we use
AllBop itself does not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or marketing tracking tools, and does not set cookies for Hosts or Players (only the admin backend uses sign-in cookies). We store on your device only the data needed to provide the Service:
| Category | Purpose | Retention period |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in and connection information (Host sign-in, Player identity, big screen connection, installation identifier) | Keep you signed in and return you to the same event after a refresh or disconnection | Host sign-in for up to 30 days; Player and big screen data expire when the event ends or you clear them; installation identifier is kept until you clear App or website data |
| Answers being submitted, photo receipts, and incomplete in-app purchases | Prevent duplicate submissions or duplicate crediting when the network is unstable | Cleared after submission or crediting is complete, or when the event ends |
| Preferences (sound, vibration, interface options, acknowledged prompts, and viewing status of each room’s results screen) | Remember your choices | Until you clear browser or App data |
| Website join drafts (room code and nickname) and version update prompts | Keep unsubmitted join information after a version update | Join drafts expire after 15 minutes and are cleared when the browser tab closes |
The necessary storage above does not require your consent because the Service cannot operate without it. In the App, sign-in and connection information is kept in secure storage provided by the operating system; on the website, it is encrypted and kept in browser local storage.
5. How to clear data
- Website: Clear allbop.com website data in your browser settings. You will need to sign in again and may not be able to return to your original event.
- App: Sign out or uninstall the App.
6. Changes
When providers or stored items change, we will update this page and its version date.
